Pilates Exercises from Beginner to Advanced Fitness Levels

Pilates exercise classes are tailored to each woman’s individual needs. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of Pilates exercises such as proper breathing, concentration, and coordination. You will feel more invigorated and healthier after doing Pilates exercises in this friendly and supportive women’s gym environment. You will improve your coordination, posture, body awareness, and strength. When you wish to go to a more advanced level of Pilates, variations of new Pilates exercises can be incorporated to make your workout more challenging. By increasing the pace, beginners and those at intermediate fitness levels can advance with more complicated and challenging Pilates Yoga-type exercises that require greater endurance, strength, and flexibility. All women participants can begin and progress at their own pace and individual fitness level.

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates Exercises are core conditioning exercises performed in a slow and controlled manner to enhance core strength and overall flexibility. Pilates exercises are a series of exercises named for the late trainer, Joseph H. Pilates. His techniques are becoming a staple for women's workouts after originating in dance studios. Pilates and Yoga are two of the ways that ballet dancers get a graceful and calm appearance while maintaining perfectly postured stances.

 

Mat Pilates and Yoga similarities are numerous. With each, you learn the basic principles and work slowly and correctly to build core strength and flexibility. Mat Pilates and Yoga promote physical harmony and balance. A series of controlled movements engaging your body and mind leaving you refreshed and alert with a feeling of physical and mental wellbeing.  Yoga practice incorporates Yoga training in postures and focused breathing to create positive energy while also promoting mind and body awareness and mental focus. This type of Mat Pilates, like Yoga, offers a low-impact workout for people of all ages and with a variety of health backgrounds.
